This leading state owned energy producer wanted to leverage a pre-existing HP Vertica cluster data warehouse for operational reporting. One of the key challenges was to be able to cope with large row counts – just a single table contained 4.3 billion rows – but still provide a fast initial sync process and a replication process that could keep up with database changes. After a Proof of Concept, the business ran a full load. Data that had taken 3 days to process, took Replicate only 5 hours.
